Mzansi Mind age suitability
Mzansi Mind is intended for people aged 12 or older. A person under 12 should not use the app. Store ratings can differ by country, region and operating-system version because each store applies its own rating scale.
Users aged 12 to 17
A parent or legal guardian must review the Terms and Privacy Policy and give prior permission before a user under 18 uses features that send personal information online, including online AI, photo questions, sign-in, feedback and optional chat improvement. Available offline features can be used without sending prompts or photos to us.
No date-of-birth collection
The current app does not ask for, send or store a date of birth. Parents and guardians can use device-level parental controls to manage downloading, purchases and access.
Why guidance still matters
Mzansi Mind is a general-purpose AI assistant. It can answer open-ended questions, explain documents and images, and use live web search. AI answers can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected despite safeguards. A parent or trusted adult should help a younger user check important answers and decide what information is safe to share.
Safety controls
- Online chat and photo help require a separate data-sharing permission.
- Users can flag an AI answer inside the chat for review.
- The assistant is instructed not to provide harmful, illegal, weapon, drug, self-harm or medical-diagnosis instructions.
- Important medical, legal, financial, religious and safety information should be checked with a qualified person or reliable source.
